A Franco-American Rendezvous: Le Breuil Whisky & El Baton Cigars at Epiqurus

Epiqurus The Lounge became a meeting point between Old World refinement and New World boldness, as Le Breuil French Whisky and El Baton Cigars came together for an evening of discovery and pairing.

Guests were invited into a curated tasting experience where French distilling heritage met the strength and character of Nicaraguan craftsmanship. Each moment unfolded as a dialogue between spirit and smoke, revealing unexpected harmony in contrast.

Presented by @enoteca_lb in collaboration with @laspiriteriefrancaise, Le Breuil embodies the quiet confidence of French whisky-making. Aged in carefully selected oak casks that previously held fine wine, it expresses delicate layers of honeyed stone fruit, toasted brioche, and subtle floral undertones.

Elegant and expressive, it reflects a terroir-driven philosophy where refinement is found in balance rather than intensity.

- El Baton by J.C. Newman

Presented by @nhs.international, El Baton brings a bold Nicaraguan character to the pairing. Wrapped in a silky Connecticut Broadleaf, it delivers deep notes of espresso, earth, and black pepper, offering structure and intensity with every draw.

When paired with Le Breuil, the cigar’s richness finds equilibrium with the whisky’s aromatic finesse—creating a pairing defined by contrast, balance, and precision.
